As an Repair & Development Engineer (m/f/d) you develop & release new repair solutions for the Jenbacher engine portfolio. Further you drive the technical assessment of the repair cases flagged from the fleet in collaboration in alignment with an experienced repair & development engineer while coordinating and organizing repairs in the field with corresponding supporting functions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop & validate repair methods of components for engine repair in house and in the field in alignment with expierenced repair & development engineer
  • Drive the technical assessment of repairs with key stake holders in alignment with an experienced repair & development engineer 
  • Consult, organize & coordinate repairs in the field with corresponding team
  • Work self-dependent & self-organized on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Document repairs executed in field & track status
  • Carry out field investigations on client site to resolve system & functional issues, support the issue resolution on component level
  • Support innovation by a systematic analyses of current procedures in the field / create and evaluate ideas for continuous improvement

 

Your Profile:

  • Technical High School (=HTL) degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Good work experience in an engineering or technical service area 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • High personal integrity and credibility with engineering teams and senior management
  • Ability to bring people together seeking the best customer solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to get things done
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detailed technical understanding of reciprocating engine operation and maintenance requirements
     
  • Profound working experience in technical service addressing repair technologies & methods
  • Fluent in English and German (oral and written)
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed
